Not veterinary advice

The content on CatLife, including guides, articles, tables and calculators, is provided for general information and education only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified vet about your cat's health, and never ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this website.

If you think your cat is unwell, injured or has eaten something toxic, contact your vet or an emergency vet immediately.

Calculators and tools

Our tools, such as the cat years calculator, cat food calculator, cat weight checker, cat pregnancy calculator and toxic plant checker, give general estimates based on published guidance. Every cat is different, and results should not be used to diagnose, treat or make medical decisions without speaking to a vet.

Medicines and products

We mention medicines and product brands because they are commonly used and searched for in the UK. We do not recommend any specific product for your cat. Always follow your vet's advice and the product's instructions. Prescription-only medicines must only be used as prescribed by a vet.

Prices and information accuracy

Prices, product details, laws and guidance change over time and vary across the UK. We work to keep our content accurate and up to date, and we review it regularly, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or current. See our editorial policy for how we research and update content.

Advertising

CatLife may display advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are provided by third parties and do not mean that we endorse the products or services advertised. Our editorial content is written independently of advertisers.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CatLife accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, information on this website. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.
